Based on oral history from psychiatric nurses from around the country, The Bell Room is a performance installation that delves inside the political perinea of Drogheda’s very own Kennedys.
Ballsgrove Flash Theatre, in collaboration with award-winning director Lars von Trier and the community of Ardee, has developed a subversive political experience detailing the naked ambition of local politics.
The performance touches all aspects of the human condition – lust, power, jealousy, revenge, vengeance, hunger in all its forms, erotica and sibling rivalry. It is only through this lens that the audience can fully appreciate what it is to be born into a political dynasty.
The Bell Room has been conceived to be experienced by one audience member at a time. Therefore, there is only one ticket per performance. To fully immerse oneself in the experience it is recommended to experience the performance as nature intended. No flash photography.
