Cllr. Paddy Meade Watch

Maverick Laytown Bettystown Cathaoirleach Paddy Meade has laid down the law to Councillors attending Municipal District Area meetings. Under his stewardship, Councillors will be expected to adhere to a higher standard of preparation and behaviour.

“Some councillors are going to meetings and just playing to the media in the room. This is not a circus!” stated Cllr. Meade, playing to the media in the room.

“I’m quite clear. I expect councillors to read the minutes, have their points ready and to take the job seriously. We have issues like roads (grass scraping the bottom of cars in Lobinstown), housing and other community-related matters to discuss. We have to be prepared,” he stated.

Mr. Meade stated that his charity single Do They Know It’s Christmas? has been performing well. The single entered the Bettystown Hot 100 last week, reaching number 27.
